Heritage walk through old towns of Ahmedabad

It is located 25 km from the capital Gandhinagar.  Ahmedabad has been a textile hub since the last several centuries and was once known as the 'Manchester of the East'. The best part of the year to visit Ahmeabad is July to February.  Obviously during the winter season, the weather is very pleasant and moving around the city is enjoyable. Also during the monsoon months of July-August, the temperature is not very high and you can savour the beauty of the freshly washed city.  However, the months of October/November when the Navratri festival is held for 9 days and nights in a row ,this city is alive and dancing in all its glory sleep taking  back seat.
